Privacy Policy

BRRENS FASHION PLANET is a sole proprietorship owned by Periyasamy Ketheeswaran based at No 65, Sivan Temple North Road, Jaffna, Northern Province, Sri Lanka (Business Registration No. J/DS/03/BR/1844/2020). We are responsible, as data controller, for the personal data described here.

• Order details you give us: your name, phone number, email address (if you provide one), delivery address, city and district, and the items you order.
• Payment information: card and bank payments are processed by PayHere. We do not see or store your full card number — PayHere returns only a confirmation of payment and a masked reference.
• Messages: the content of WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook messages you send us, including any photos you share for custom aari work or tailoring.
• Technical data: basic server logs — IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — kept by our hosting providers to keep the site secure and running.

We do not use advertising or analytics tracking, and we do not build marketing profiles about you.

The site uses only what it needs to work. Your shopping cart is stored in your browser on your own device (local storage), and a session cookie is used only for staff signing in to the private admin area. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set.

• to pack and deliver your order, and let the courier contact you;
• to contact you about that order — confirmation, delivery updates, and questions about sizing or stock;
• to handle returns, replacements and refunds;
• to keep the records we need for accounting and tax;
• to prevent fraud and misuse of the site.

We contact customers only about their own orders. We do not send newsletters or promotional messages.

We process your data to carry out our contract with you (fulfilling your order), to meet legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and for our legitimate interest in running a secure business and resolving disputes.

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who act on our instructions:

• PayHere — to process card and bank payments.
• Koombiyo Delivery — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order and provide tracking.
• Our hosting providers (Vercel and Supabase) — to run the website and store order records.
• A messaging service — to alert our staff to a new order.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for anyone else’s marketing. Some of these providers process data on servers outside Sri Lanka; where that happens we rely on the provider’s own contractual and security safeguards. We may also disclose data if required by law.

Order and transaction records are kept for at least six years to meet accounting and tax requirements, then deleted or anonymised. Message threads are kept for as long as we need them to support you and resolve any dispute.

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not required by law to keep it. To make a request, email brrensfashionplanet@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can raise it with the relevant data-protection authority in Sri Lanka.

The store is intended for customers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed; significant changes will be noted here.
